Louisville is working with a group of four youth in a neighborhood where there is a Junior Youth Group. The youth are participating in a Ruhi Book 1 study circle on “Reflections on the Life of the Spirit.” They have been meeting weekly, but then it became clear that the current pace meant that they would take a long time to finish and possibly lose the ability to sustain the enthusiasm of the youth. So an intensive Ruhi Book 1 has been scheduled. The first intensive session was on Friday after Thanksgiving. The youth sacrificed their Black Friday plans to participate in the intensive. Though this effort is humble in terms of numbers, it represents a major shift and breakthrough for this cluster as a small team systematically reaches out and trains youth for the first time.
